  William McConnell is a partner at Dudley, Topper and Feuerzeig, LLP, and a member of the Firm’s transactional department, where he specializes in real estate and corporate matters.  Mr. McConnell’s areas of expertise include: real estate finance, commercial and residential purchases and sales, title insurance, land use, real estate brokerage, and representation of landlords and tenants.  He also has extensive experience in assisting both established and start up businesses, including formation of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships, licensing and compliance issues, and the acquisitions and sales of businesses and their assets.

Over his extensive career, Mr. McConnell has successfully represented myriad clients in all kinds of real estate and business transactions.  Among his clients are financial institutions, resorts, developers, individuals purchasing or selling homes and other property, landlords, tenants, and businesses of all sizes and types.

Mr. McConnell founded and managed his own law firm from 2003 – 2008, during which time he also formed a private title company to service the needs of his numerous clients.  As a principal in his firm, Mr. McConnell gained the experience and skills that resulted in him being regarded as one of the premier real estate attorneys in the Territory.

Mr. McConnell is a member of the Virgin Islands Bar Association and has practiced law in the U.S. Virgin Islands since 1996.  He was also a member of the Committee that developed the mortgage broker’s licensing test for the Territory.  He is a contributing author to the Firm’s U.S. Virgin Islands Guide to Doing Business.

In addition to his law school education, Mr. McConnell attended the New England Culinary Institute (restaurant school!) and worked as a chef at St. Cloud Restaurant in Boston and other restaurants prior to attending law school.  He is a favorite contributor to the firm’s Thanksgiving luncheon.
